2022 Holiday Season Campus Closure Information

Greetings,

Laurier will close for the holiday season effective Friday, December 23, 2022 and reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. During this period, all university buildings will be locked to maintain security. If you require access to your office during this time, and are unable to gain entry to the building with your OneCard, please contact Special Constable Service (SCS):

• Brantford: 519.756.8228 x3333 (internal) or 519.770.3778 (external)
• Waterloo: 519.884.0710 x3333 (internal) or 519.885.3333 (external)

• Please ensure all windows are closed prior to leaving your area at the beginning of the break. This will ensure room temperatures remain above freezing and prevent damage to pipes and flooding.
• In order to conserve energy during the closure, the temperature in all buildings will be lowered to approximately 15°C.
• Some functions may require a more moderate environment. If this is the case in your area, please contact the Facilities and Asset Management iServiceDesk at iservicedesk@wlu.ca or ext. 6280 by Monday, December 19^th at 12:00 noon to request an adjustment in temperature.

• The last recycling and waste collection for offices and workstations is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, December 21^st
• Please place any waste or recycling created after the afternoon collection on Wednesday, December 21^st in the common collection areas for a final pick up during the morning of Thursday, December 22^nd. Regular collection will resume on Tuesday, January 3^rd

• Snow removal will be provided over the break as needed.
