Stay Golden at Laurier:
International Scholarship and Housing Guarantee

Our Stay Golden at Laurier program is exclusive to international undergraduate students and provides financial and housing support during your studies.

The Stay Golden International Scholarship is worth up to $24,000 CAD over four years (or $30,000 CAD over five years for select programs). You are automatically assessed for this scholarship based on your final admission average and your GPA during your studies at Laurier.

The Stay Golden International Housing Guarantee ensures you have housing throughout your studies and is available to students on our Waterloo and Brantford campuses only. Live in residence in your first year (not required for students staring in the winter term) and get options for off-campus housing in your upper years.

We have options to help ensure you have safe, comfortable housing while at university. From our first-year residence guarantee to our Stay Golden housing program, you can live in Laurier-managed buildings in all years of study. Plus, you can stay engaged with the Laurier community through residence life activities and LOCUS, our off-campus housing program.

Funding Your Education

Getting a university education is an investment in your future and we also want to invest in you. We take financial health seriously and equip students with sound financial knowledge and resources.

There are many funding opportunities available for tuition and expenses in your first year of university and after. Work-study programs, on-campus jobs and co-op placements provide financial support throughout university and ensure you graduate with relevant work experience.

International Tuition Guarantee

Tuition rates are set each year for new, incoming international students. Once admitted, tuition rates for continuing international students will increase by no more than 5% between years of study.

Tour for Guidance Counsellors 

The Southwestern Ontario Universities Tour invites international secondary school guidance counsellors and independent education consultants to visit our campuses and learn more about the communities their students will live in.

The tour also provides international education professionals with key information to assist students in applying to university and showcases what the student experience will be like at each university.
