Dec. 5, 2023
Print | PDFPlease note that on Friday, December 22, 2023 and Saturday, December 23, 2023 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Facilities and Asset Management, along with Johnson Controls, will be conducting rotating intermittent power shutdowns to buildings on the Waterloo campus as part of the commissioning of the microgrid/power generation project.
This work will affect all buildings located on the campus block (bound by Albert Street, Bricker Avenue, King Street and University Avenue) except for Martin Luther University College:
As part of the final testing of the campus microgrid project, the rotating intermittent power shutdowns in the buildings will result in unstable power during this window. Please note that any building equipment connected to generator backup will continue to function during the work window.
As a safety precaution, the elevators in the affected buildings will not be operational during this time. Upon completion of the work, the holiday Building Hours Schedule will resume.
