Residence Move In and Orientation Week Restrictions - Waterloo Campus

As a reminder to the campus community first-year students will be arriving on the Waterloo campus to move into residence beginning Friday, August 30^th through to Sunday, September 1, 2024. During this period, please anticipate increased activity and traffic in all parking areas in and around residence buildings.

To assist with the traffic flow, there will be restricted access and lot closures in many parking lots. Traffic will be designated as one-way in several areas over the weekend.

Friday, August 30^th:

• Gold Permit Lot 16 (Macdonald House Residence) and Gold Permit Lot 19 (Clara Conrad) will be closed to facilitate move in at the adjacent residence buildings. Although there will be increased activity in these areas, all other permit parking areas will remain open to permit holders on this date.

Saturday, August 31^st and Sunday, September 1^st:

• Gold Permit parking will be limited to the following parking lots: Lot 11 (accessed from University Avenue, located adjacent to Dining Hall),  Lot 32 (Lazaridis Hall), Lot 40 (Career and Co-op Centre), and Lot 43 (230 Regina St). Parking in any other parking lots will not be permitted on these dates.

Tuesday, September 3^rd:

• Parking restrictions will be in place in the rear upper portion of Lot 37 (Northdale) to facilitate Room Burn demonstration for Student Orientation.

Please refer to the The Waterloo Campus Interactive Map should you require assistance in locating appropriate parking for these dates.

Staff and volunteers will be on campus assisting with traffic flow throughout this period.  Your co-operation is greatly appreciated as we assist our incoming students with a safe transition to campus.
